Tesla's annual sales up 36% but comes short of delivery goal

Tesla cut the U.S. prices of its Model Y, Model X and Model S vehicles by $2,000 each on Friday, days after the first-quarter deliveries of the world's most valuable automaker missed market expectations. Elon Musk's electric-vehicle maker lowered the prices for its Model Y base variant to $42,990, while the long-range and performance variants are now priced at $47,990 and $51,490, respectively.

Elon Musk postponed his visit to India, which included a meeting with PM Narendra Modi, citing "very heavy" obligations at electric vehicle maker Tesla Inc. He, however, expressed his intention to visit India later this year. Moneycontrol earlier reported that Musk was to announce an investment of $2-3 billion in India with the long-awaited announcement of Tesla Inc's entry into the country.

NEW DELHI: Hindustan Construction Company Limited (HCC) on Friday said its rights issue has been oversubscribed by 250 per cent, with the company receiving applications worth Rs 877 crore against an issue size of Rs 350 crore.The company, in a statement, said it has retained an amount of Rs 350 crore, corresponding to 100 per cent of the rights issue size.
