The government has re-appointed T. Rabi Sankar as Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India for a period of one year with effect from May 3, the central bank said on Wednesday. Sankar, a career central banker who joined the RBI in 1990, was initially appointed as Deputy Governor on May 3, 2021 for a three-year period. Prior to his elevation as Deputy Governor, Sankar was an Executive Director.

Meta Q1 Results: Facebook and Instagram parent company Meta said Wednesday its Q1 profit more than doubled, boosted by higher advertising revenue and a 6% increase on the average price of ads on its platforms.
