SEBI has released a circular on extending cross margin benefits for offsetting positions having different expiry dates. The circular would be effective three months from its date of issuance i.e., July 23, 2024. The regulator further stated that the circular is being issued to protect the interests of investors in securities and to regulate the securities market.

In a bid to ease the KYC process for investors due to new guidelines that came into effect on April 1, the five KYC registration agencies (KRAs) - CDSL Ventures (CVL), NSDL Database Management (NDML), CAMS, Karvy, and Dotex have come with guidelines to simplify the process. All KRAs put together hold the KYC records of 108.3 million investors and facilitate storage and modification.
