Life insurers suggests govt to create separate bucket for tax rebates

As part of their demand for the upcoming Union Budget, which will be published in February, the life insurance industry has suggested that the government create a separate bucket for tax rebates under section 80 (C) and make annuity tax-free for the benefit of subscribers. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is scheduled to present the general budget for the next fiscal on February 1.
