Indian Railways reports highest-ever scrap sale of Rs4573cr in FY21

Indian Railways achieved the highest ever scrap sale of Rs4573cr in fiscal year FY21. The latest scrap sale increased by 5.5% from Rs4333cr achieved in fiscal FY20. Notably, the Railways previous best scrap sale was Rs4409cr in 2009-10.  The Railways Ministry said, "Indian Railways makes all-out efforts to optimally utilise resources by mobilising scrap materials and sale through e-auction."
