Ceat hikes FY22 capex by 40% as plants running with full capacity

The robust demand during the post lockdown period has led tyremaker Ceat to hike its capital expenditure (capex) for the coming fiscal year by 40% to Rs 700 crore. Ceat has inventory levels of less than 1 month despite all its plants running at full capacity. It will use the increase in capex to add more capacity at its factories and address the sustained surge in demand.
