Bharat Biotech says it has successfully recruited 23,000 volunteers

Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech, which is developing an indigenous COVID-19 vaccine candidate said it has successfully recruited 23,000 volunteers on January 2. It will now look to towards achieving the goal of 26,000 participants for Phase-3 clinical trial of COVAXIN across multiple sites in India. The vaccine candidate-COVAXIN is a highly purified and inactivated two-dose SARS-CoV2 vaccine.

The supply chain platform Locus designated $4 Mn for its ESOP buyback. The buyback is at par with the primary of the Series C fundraise. Both current and former employees will be able to vest their stock options. This is the second such buyback by the company. Locus had recently raised $50 Mn in Series C funding led by GIC, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, among others.
